How to search
Use company search with jurisdictionCode: "pt". Pass a name as companyName or a registration number as companyNumber. companyNumber is read as nif.

A registration number sent as companyNumber is matched against the searchable schemes below; you do not name the scheme. All of them can appear in a company’s identifiers.

Identifier notes
- The identifier type pt_nif covers both a company's NIF/NIPC and a person's NIF. A pt_nif value on a legal representative or shareholder is that person's own tax number, not a second identifier for the company.

| No published status field | The register publishes no company-status field. Active or dissolved is inferred from whether a dissolution act appears among the company's filings, so a company that has stopped operating without one on file, or whose dissolution act was not among the filings retrieved, reads as active. |
| Departures are not reflected | A legal representative's departure is not reflected: anyone named in a designation filing stays listed, so a departed representative can appear as current. |
| SA share registers are private | Shareholder data comes from the cap-table publication that quota-based (Lda-type) companies file. Joint-stock (SA) companies return no shareholders. |
| Fields drawn from different filings | Each basic detail (address, legal form, etc.) is taken from whichever filing has the fullest basic-info, so a field can reflect an older filing when a newer one left it blank. |
| Out-of-range percentages dropped | A shareholder's computed ownership percentage is omitted when it would fall outside 0-100%, for example when a filing's quota amounts do not reconcile with the company's last stated capital. The quota's nominal value in euros is still returned, so read it when the percentage is missing. |

Sócio | Quota-holder. The default label for an individual's or entity's ownership interest in a quota-based (Lda-type) company. |
Único sócio | Sole shareholder. Replaces "Sócio" when the company is registered as a Sociedade Unipessoal (single-member company) and exactly one quota-holder is on file. |
