Start with company search and jurisdictionCode: "dk". Pass the name as companyName. Denmark takes no other search criteria.

Examples

{  "jurisdictionCode": "dk",  "advancedQuery": {    "name": "Mærsk"  }}

The same query also matches 22756214.

Company identifiers

Denmark has no number-based search: find a company by name, then use the kausateId search returns. These schemes label the values that come back in a company’s identifiers.

IdentifierAppears asFormat
Danish CVR Number
Danish 8-digit company registration number (CVR-nummer) from Det Centrale Virksomhedsregister
dk_cvr_number^\d{8}$
Danish Production Unit Number
Danish 10-digit production unit number (P-nummer) assigned to a workplace under a CVR-registered entity
dk_p_number^\d{10}$

Identifier notes

  • In the shareholder graph, a foreign or otherwise unclassifiable owner — one recorded as a company, or one the register could not classify at all — can carry a free-text line reading "Registry key: <number>" in its description. That number is Denmark's own internal register key for the participant, not a Danish CVR company number: even though it is numeric like one, never use it as, or confuse it with, a company identifier. (This applies only to shareholder-graph entries — it is not shown on a company's legal representatives.)
  • A Danish company's report can list its own production units — physical places of business — among its related companies, each carrying a 10-digit Danish production-unit number (P-nummer). This is a separate scheme from the 8-digit CVR company number: a P-nummer identifies a workplace, not a legal entity, so such an entry is not a subsidiary or a separately searchable company, and a single company can have several.

Documents with a shortcut are ordered directly by that name — for example annual_accounts. The rest are filings whose availability differs per company: call list documents first and order the ID it returns.

Gotchas

TrapWhat happens
Stakes are statutory bandsShareholder-graph stakes are statutory bands, not exact percentages — registration is required only at fixed thresholds (5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 33.33, 50, 66.67, 90, 100%); only 100% is exact. A beneficial-owner (UBO) record's percentage is always the exact declared figure.
One row per term of officeA company's legal representatives can include more than one entry for the same person — one row per period they held a given office, so someone who served, left, and later returned appears twice. A past officer's end date is not a separate field: it is appended as text (e.g. "... — terminated 2015-06-30") to that entry's English role translation, while the original Danish role label and the start date are left untouched.
Anonymised ownersSome shareholder-graph entries carry a stake but no name, flagged as anonymised: the register withholds natural-person owners' names and names only corporate owners.
UBO by role carries no percentageA UBO record can lack an ownership percentage when registered by role, not stake: standing-in management for an unidentified owner, a trust role (trustee, settlor, protector), a control right, or an AML registration. The percentage field is empty; basis is in free-text details.
Five closures, one statusBankruptcy, voluntary liquidation, merger, closure declaration, and deregistration all normalize to "closed" status. Read the original Danish status text, not the normalized type, to see which one applies.
Consolidated filers report standaloneA company reporting on a consolidated (group) basis returns only standalone parent-entity figures, not group totals — line items filed against a consolidation or segment breakdown are excluded from extraction.
Sector taxonomies return lessFinancial-statement coverage is strongest under the general Danish accounting taxonomy; a company filing under a sector-specific extension (financial services, insurance), may return only partial financials.

Glossary

TermMeaning
Registret til bekæmpelse af hvidvaskDenmark's anti-money-laundering register — a separate statutory beneficial-ownership register from the main one. A beneficial owner recorded only here is returned with no ownership percentage and no control basis.
fuldt ansvarlig deltagerFully liable partner — Denmark's designation for a general partner in a partnership, or the owner of a sole proprietorship, who is personally and unlimitedly liable for the company's debts. It can appear in a beneficial-owner record's details text, and that position never carries an ownership percentage.
VetoretVeto right — one of the control bases a Danish beneficial-ownership filing can cite instead of a stake. It can appear, untranslated, in a beneficial owner's details text when their influence comes from a contractual right rather than a shareholding.
Under tvangsopløsningUnder compulsory dissolution — the company is being wound up by court or registry order rather than voluntarily. Treat it as no longer trading.
Opløst efter konkursDissolved after bankruptcy — the company's closure followed formal bankruptcy proceedings, as distinct from a voluntary liquidation or a merger.
