| Trap | What happens |

| Status lives in the name | No general active/inactive status exists. One appears only via a marker in the official name — "во ликвидација" (liquidation), "во стечај" (bankruptcy), or "избришан" (struck off). Its absence means unknown, not active. |
| Legal form often uncoded | Legal form isn't always coded: associations, cooperatives, chambers, schools, unions, government institutions and ministries register alongside companies with descriptive-text legal form, no code. Text-only form can mean a non-company entity, not bad data. |
| Cyrillic names | The company's legal name comes back in Macedonian Cyrillic script. When the register also has a Latin-script version of the name, it arrives as a separate alternative name rather than replacing the primary legal name — check alternative names if you need the Latin form. |
