Company identifiers

Croatia has no number-based search: find a company by name, then use the kausateId search returns. These schemes label the values that come back in a company’s identifiers.

IdentifierAppears asFormat
Croatian Court Registry Number (MBS)
Croatian court registry number (Matični broj subjekta) - 9 digits
hr_mbs^\d{9}$
Croatian Personal Identification Number (OIB)
Croatian personal identification number (Osobni identifikacijski broj) - 11 digits
hr_oib^\d{11}$
Statistical Business Entity Numberhr_statistical_business_entity_numberNo fixed format

Identifier notes

  • The OIB carries a check digit computed from its other ten digits, so a single mistyped digit produces an invalid OIB rather than silently pointing at a different company or person.

Documents you can order

DocumentOrder byStatus
Croatian Annual Accounts
Annual financial statements (godišnji financijski izvještaj / GFI) as filed with Fina's RGFI public-posting registry under Article 47 of the Croatian Accounting Act — the native FINA-issued PDF (balance sheet, profit & loss account, notes, and, for larger entities, cash-flow statement, statement of changes in equity, audit report and annual report). Use the document code or the annual_accounts shortcut alone to fetch the most recent filing, or pass a year to fetch a specific one.

Croatian Official Register Extract
Official extract (Službeni izvadak / active e-izvadak) from the Croatian court register (Sudski registar), issued as a digitally signed PDF by the Ministry of Justice on behalf of the commercial courts, with a QR code and record number for public verification of the original. Contains the company's registration numbers (MBS, OIB, EUID), name, registered seat, legal form, registered activities, share capital, legal representatives and management board, supervisory board and procurists — each with their personal identification number — plus the registration history.

Documents with a shortcut are ordered directly by that name — for example annual_accounts.

Gotchas

TrapWhat happens
No structured financialsCroatia has no structured financials. Filed annual accounts are available only as the original PDF filed with the financial-reporting register, retrieved through document retrieval rather than returned as parsed financial data.
Filings start at 2008Croatia's filed annual accounts on the financial-reporting register only go back to 2008 — don't expect filings for earlier fiscal years.
Four pre-bankruptcy phrasesA Croatian company's status text can be one of four different pre-bankruptcy or settlement phrases (for example "Pokrenuta predstečajna nagodba" vs. "Potvrđen predstečajni sporazum") that all collapse to the same normalized status — the same one used for outright bankruptcy. If the distinction between settlement stages, or between settlement talks and bankruptcy itself, matters to you, read the original-language status text rather than relying on the normalized value.
Older capital may be in kunaShare capital on an older Croatian filing can still be denominated in the pre-euro currency, Croatian Kuna (HRK), rather than Euro — Croatia only adopted the euro on 1 January 2023. Check the currency code on the figure instead of assuming EUR.
