How to search
Start with company search and jurisdictionCode: "md". Pass the name as companyName. Moldova takes no other search criteria.
Examples
{ "jurisdictionCode": "md", "advancedQuery": { "name": "CONSCORD" }}The same query also matches 1003600166351.
Company identifiers
Moldova has no number-based search: find a company by name, then use the kausateId search returns. These schemes label the values that come back in a company’s identifiers.
| Identifier | Appears as | Format |
|---|---|---|
| Moldovan IDNO Moldovan IDNO (state identification number / fiscal code) - 13 digits for modern entities; legacy fiscal codes are 5-9 digits | md_idno | ^\d{4,13}$ |
| Legacy State Registration Number | md_legacy_state_registration_number | No fixed format |
Identifier notes
- The IDNO is Moldova's only company identifier: the same 13-digit number (5-9 digits on older, legacy entries) doubles as both the state registration number and the fiscal (tax) code. There is no separate tax identifier to look up or store for a Moldovan company — the IDNO is both.

Gotchas
| Trap | What happens |
|---|---|
| Insolvency administrators included | Legal representatives include insolvency-related office holders too — insolvency, provisional, fiduciary and plan-procedure administrators, and liquidators — alongside ordinary directors. Filter by role for current management only. |
| Half of founders lack a percentage | Ownership percentage is reported for only about half of founders; the rest show as a named owner with no share amount — missing, not zero. |
| Status is binary | Company status is strictly binary — active or dissolved — with no intermediate state like "in liquidation" or "suspended." |
| CAEM, not NACE | Activity codes use the national CAEM classification, not EU NACE — codes can look identical (CAEM 7210 is computer consultancy; NACE 7210 is scientific R&D). Don't cross-reference against a NACE table. |
| Legacy entities have no number | A small share of entities — mostly older, legacy registrations — carry no identification number and don't appear in search or lookups. Expect a systematic gap against the full historical population. |
| Address is one free-text line | Address is delivered as one free-text line; the region/city/street breakdown is a best-effort split of that field, not native separate data. Match on the full original string for exact matching. |
| Licensed activities are prefixed | A licensed activity (e.g. banking, insurance) has its description prefixed "Licensed activity:" to distinguish it from ordinary registered activities in the same list. |

STATUL | Romanian for "the State." Appears as a founder/shareholder name when the Government of Moldova owns the company. |
