Start with company search and jurisdictionCode: "si". Pass the name as companyName or a registration number as companyNumber — here both resolve to the same field, so sending them together does not narrow anything.

Examples

{  "jurisdictionCode": "si",  "advancedQuery": {    "name": "Krka"  }}

The same query also matches 5043611000.

Company identifiers

Search by passing the registration number as companyNumber — it is matched against the schemes this register can search on, so you do not name the scheme yourself. Not every scheme below is searchable; the rest label the values returned in a company’s identifiers.

IdentifierAppears asFormat
Slovenian Matična številka
Slovenian company registration number (matična številka) - 10 digits, issued by AJPES
si_maticna^\d{10}$
Slovenian Davčna številka
Slovenian tax number (davčna številka) - 8 digits, optionally prefixed with SI for VAT
si_davcna^(SI)?\d{8}$
Slovenian Court Register File Number
Court-register file or insert number (vložna številka) published by AJPES
si_court_file_numberNo fixed format

Identifier notes

  • The court-register file number (vložna številka) is populated only for companies registered in Slovenia's court register before its 1 February 2008 transition — roughly a third of the register. Its absence on a company registered since then is expected, not an error.
  • Slovenia doesn't issue a separate VAT registration number. The davčna številka (tax number) doubles as the VAT number, appearing with an 'SI' prefix once a company is VAT-registered — there's no distinct VAT identifier to look for.
  • The 'Srg' reference on a court filing (for example, Srg 2025/32718) identifies that one filing at its court, not the company. It's specific to that filing, so don't use it to track or de-duplicate a company — use its matična, davčna, or kausateId instead.

Documents with a shortcut are ordered directly by that name — for example register_extract. Those shown with a code have no cross-jurisdiction shortcut: order them by the code itself — for example SIAJEXTEN. The rest are filings whose availability differs per company: call list documents first and order the ID it returns.

Gotchas

TrapWhat happens
Liquidation still reads activeA company in liquidation, bankruptcy, or compulsory settlement still reports a plain active status — Slovenia's register marks a company dissolved only once it is actually struck off. Detect these states from a '- v likvidaciji', '- v stečaju', or '- v prisilni poravnavi' suffix on the registered name, not from the status field.
Name search matches from the startSearch matches company names only from the start, and a spaced 'd. d.' (vs 'd.d.') can block a match — use matična or davčna number instead.
Only court entities can be orderedSearch surfaces sole proprietors and associations alongside court-registered companies, but a full report or document can only be ordered for court-register entities (d.o.o., d.d., k.d., and similar) — requesting one for a sole proprietor or association fails outright.
Only d.o.o. list shareholdersOnly limited-liability companies (d.o.o.) carry a shareholder list — a joint-stock company (d.d.) report never lists shareholders.
Foreign suffixes read as individualsA shareholder is classified as a company only if its name has a Slovenian legal-form tag like d.o.o. or d.d. — a foreign one (a German GmbH, a US LLC) won't match and comes back as an individual person.
