How to search

Start with company search and jurisdictionCode: "vn". Pass the name as companyName. Vietnam takes no other search criteria.

Company identifiers

Vietnam has no number-based search: find a company by name, then use the kausateId search returns. These schemes label the values that come back in a company’s identifiers.

Identifier notes

The identifier labelled "Enterprise Code" is drawn from the Vietnamese term meaning "internal code" (mã số nội bộ), while the identifier labelled "Tax Code" is drawn from the term that literally translates as "enterprise code" (mã số doanh nghiệp) — the two English labels are not translations of their own Vietnamese source terms. If a Vietnamese counterparty quotes you their "mã số doanh nghiệp," that maps to the Tax Code field, not the Enterprise Code field.

Gotchas

Trap	What happens
Name order flips between calls	Live search leads with the English name, demoting Vietnamese to an alternative; the company report leads with the Vietnamese legal name, demoting English to a translation.
Legal representative only	Only one representative role is returned: the legal representative. No broader officer or director list exists.
At most 10 matches	Search returns at most 10 matches, with no pagination. If more than 10 companies match, narrow the term or search by exact code.
No status, form or date	Company status (active/inactive), legal form, and incorporation date are never returned — permanently absent, not a retry-fixable gap.

`Người đại diện pháp luật`	Legal representative — the individual role a Vietnamese company report designates as authorized to act and sign on the company's behalf.
