Start with company search and jurisdictionCode: "bh". Pass the name as companyName, a registration number as companyNumber, or both to narrow the result. Here companyNumber is read as crNumber.

Fields

To say exactly what you mean, send an advancedQuery instead. Bahrain understands these fields:

FieldWhat it does
nameCompany name to search for (English or Arabic).
crNumberBahrain CR number in format CR_NO-BRANCH_NO (e.g., '950-1') or just CR_NO (e.g., '950').

Examples

{  "jurisdictionCode": "bh",  "advancedQuery": {    "crNumber": "950-1"  }}

Company identifiers

Search by passing the registration number as companyNumber — it is matched against the schemes this register can search on, so you do not name the scheme yourself. Not every scheme below is searchable; the rest label the values returned in a company’s identifiers.

IdentifierAppears asFormat
Commercial Registration Number
Bahrain Commercial Registration number from Sijilat (MOIC) in format CR_NO-BRANCH_NO (e.g., 950-1)
bh_cr_number^\d{1,6}-\d{1,2}$

Identifier notes

  • A Bahrain CR number by itself does not identify one company. The same CR number can be shared across several branch numbers that are completely separate, unrelated businesses (different names, owners, and statuses) rather than locations of a single company — always reference one specific Bahraini entity with the full CR_NO-BRANCH_NO pair, never the CR number alone.

Documents you can order

DocumentOrder byStatus
Bahraini CR Certificate
Commercial Registration (CR) certificate from Bahrain Sijilat. Sijilat exposes a single deterministic certificate per company, so this document acts as the register extract.

Documents with a shortcut are ordered directly by that name — for example register_extract. Those shown with a code have no cross-jurisdiction shortcut: order them by the code itself — for example BHDL.

Gotchas

TrapWhat happens
'person' is not a reliable typeA shareholder returned with type "person" is not a reliable signal that it's actually a natural person: a corporate shareholder that can't be matched back to its own company record comes back shaped exactly like a person entry (name only, no company identifier). To reliably tell people and corporate shareholders apart in Bahraini shareholder data, also check the shareholder's name for a company-form suffix (e.g. W.L.L., B.S.C.) rather than trusting the type classification alone.
B.S.C. investors are a placeholderFor a B.S.C. (public shareholding company), the shareholder graph returns a generic "GROUP OF INVESTORS" placeholder, not real investors. Only privately held companies like W.L.L.s return named shareholders.

Glossary

TermMeaning
W.L.L.A suffix on a Bahraini company's legal name meaning "With Limited Liability" — Bahrain's equivalent of an LLC.
B.S.C.A suffix on a Bahraini company's legal name meaning "Bahrain Shareholding Company" — a joint-stock company, which can be public or closed.
DELETED WITH PAYMENT / DELETED WITHOUT PAYMENTTwo different raw status values you may see on a struck-off Bahraini company. Despite the different wording, both mean the same thing — the company has been dissolved and removed from the register.
Individual EstablishmentBahrain's term for a sole proprietorship — a business registered under a single individual owner.
